Everyone judges. I've never met an opinionless person, so yea.

ETA: Yes I do think people should make healthy choices for their children.
There is no reason your 6 month old needs a 'taste' of candy.

I don't get it...how is it not making the best choice? You don't know the woman, or what she went through to make the decision to not BF...however, there is no argument or excuse for choosing to feed your child stuff that will cause childhood obesity, diabetes and other health problems, so where is the comparison in it? Formula is not harmful, the food choices you spoke of are...I guess I am just not seeing the comparison between formula and hot dogs and sweet tea.

I'm not lol. It's just a topic to debate. There was a thread about how common it is that FF moms are judged for not breast feeding.

Same with me. LO would not latch. I pumped until I could no longer keep up with his demand, but I was miserable through it all. I wouldnt judge a woman if she didnt want to go through that.

no... my kids watch too much TV, 3 of them were FF, and they get many treats in addition to healthy foods..

My SIL just had her fourth baby.... she has never BFed and always just got that shot to take away her milk. She is a wonderful mom and feeds her kids healthy meals.

Well, you kinda are...you started off the debate with asking women if they would judge a woman for feeding their children hot dogs and sweet tea and junk all the time and once you got some answers you eased into the formula and breastfeeding debate so if you do not feel they're comparable, why choose the way you can into it? I am not bitching, I am just not understanding the debate either and am asking for an explanation so I can fully understand the debate I am in.

Yeah i know, but I'm showing you how it doesn't relate. You cannot compare junk food with FFing. There is no comparison.

lol, I was mostly curious if the same people who thought it was absurd that they get judged for FF their kid.. would judge others for their choices as a parent.

Very true. I did both BF and formula feeding. I felt less stressed formula feeding.

I know women like that as well. Never cared, never judged, never even thought of it. A lot of women are women who also work in a high powered work place and cannot breastfeed because they head back to work quickly after having their baby....should they also feel terrible for that decision? It's a lifestyle choice but not a bad one, and I have never heard of a child getting sick from being a FF baby but I have heard of kids getting sick from poor diets so obviously not comparable.

Well, yes I do judge a parent who chooses to feed their child unhealthy and knows it is unhealthy and I am a FF Mom. Because it is a bad choice to feed your children foods like that.....and I formula feed my baby.

everyone judges at some point. no matter what the issue is.

but me judge a mother who feeds their kids unhealthy foods daily? yes, i will judge.
thats disgusting. the mother is setting them up for major health issues and complications.

kids will grow up thinking its ok to eat burgers, fries, shakes, ice cream, cakes, etc. everyday. they will never get introduced to anything thats good for them. they need to eat things to help them grow and develope.

those kids will die of heart attacks or strokes. very early in life.
its sad to see kids with diabetes and health problems because they never learned to eat properly.

what mother would do that to their child? doesnt sound like she cares.
