preparing a bottle of formula is more time consuming than just popping them on the boob. Just like making a home cooked meal is more time consuming than giving them microwaved nuggets, pizza rolls etc.... so i don't really see the correlation.

Giving a child junk is different than giving them less healthy food. I cannot afford "all organic" crap, so I go with the next best thing. I don't give my spawn the "best", but I give her healthy.

Same thing goes with formula.

I disagree.
Formula is not the equivalent of junk food. Granted breast milk has been proven to have a million and one benefits but being formula fed isnt lead to a child being diabetic like feeding them crap will.

Not necessarily, even if a woman chooses formula over breastfeeding it's not easier. Formula is expensive and bottles are a pain in the ass compared to just popping a boob in their mouth. I really don't think formula vs breastmilk is a valid part of this.

Why would anyone judge a person for not breastfeeding? How is formula feeding a child comparable to sweets, high sugar and crap? They actually try to make formula as comparable to breast milk as they can with nutritional value...it isn't junk, it's a healthy alternative..so I am not getting the comparison you think you are making?

How is formula equal to junkfood?

If you're trying to state that by giving my child formula, it is the same as pumping her full of sweet tea and hot dogs, you're sadly mistaken lol.

I FF Novali because of being pressured by my mother and then getting pregnant again right away (ended in MC).

I felt horrible for it because people told me I was lazy and all that crap   seriously, I'm feeding my child the best that I can. Now that she is 5 I feed her healthy foods, but not "all organic" or anything like that, and she still gets sweets and stuff.....

I don't care if anyone judges me for giving her sugary cereal for breakfast on Mondays and Saturdays (and healthy lunches and dinners).

I'm not anti-formula.

It's just a D&D.

yes, I'll admit I do judge a mom who doesn't even consider it just because she thinks it's yucky or will make her breasts smaller... but in general I don't care.

Its just a topic to debate.

I just don't understand why people think those who judge FF are bad, but those who judge moms who give junk food are ok

It isn't negatively effecting the baby if you give them formula though...

With my 4 year old, she gets treats, and sweets in moderation. I also give her a lot of organic, fruits, vegetables and healthy meals. She surely does not get fed a bunch of junk food by far...I would never give her soda or a ton of sugary crap. She gets juice, water, milk to drink and good foods with the occasional treat..every kid should have a treat in moderation.

As for my baby, she is 3 weeks old and she is FF and if someone wants to judge me for that, fine. I really could care less about it. I could not breast feed with either kids and I am not going to sit around and judge women for breastfeeding or not breastfeeding, or making a woman feel like smurf when she cannot. I struggled with my first and being told to quit breastfeeding, and with this child, I am so guilt ridden by not breastfeeding that it is not even funny, so these posts don't make it any better.

Don't worry what people think.

Would you judge a woman for giving the second best choice of meals to a 5 year old? Instead of all organic or something like that?
