In Need Of Infomation

posted 6th Oct
I started dating my child's father after my son was 3 months old. We tried to make it work until recently. Now he refuses to watch the baby when he should, or just goes back and forth with his answers. One minute he wants him, the next he doesn't want him but wants to take me to court. I'm tired of arguing with him.. What can I do to be rid of dealing with him like this? We need some type of visitation to be scheduled but I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to that... Any ideas?

Going to court is honestly the best thing for this situation. That way it is all on paper and everything is figured out. Its safe and you should really do that if you are having issues like this.

Do you have a lawyer?

Well file for child support and visitation. And leave him. And dont try to make him watch him, dont try to make him do anything with the baby.

this happened to me with my DD ... we had to go to court and just set up an agreement. Because he lives in New Jersey & I am in New York he gets her every other weekend for the weekend. Its just so much easier, its a set in stone schedule. Of course you can add in your own details like you get him for your birthday and mothers day and he gets him for his birthday and fathers day. The childs birthday is generally split unless you agree to every other year. Its pretty simple just know what you want.

Thank you guys so much, and no I do not have a lawyer.. I really would like to get visitation set in stone because I honestly do not even FEEL the same way about this douche anymore.. I'm a full-time student AND mommy, and when I ask him for help lately he just can't... He lays out of work and he drinks every night.. SO rules will be set when I go to court. I heard that they have to do paternity testing, which I find to be useless, but I'll do whatever it takes to deal with this idiot for my child.. Thanks ladies!
