We have an extra TV but we haven't put it in LO's room. When he wants to watch a different show then us, I let him get on the Kindle Fire and watch netflix on there. I didn't get a tv in my room till middle school but I honestly don't know when we'll allow him to have one in his room. Not for several years at least, he's 3 now.

Never, we will only ever have 1 tv.

My daughter doesnt watch TV.
I cant get her to watch it. Even if I play a movie on a computer, television, or phone she wont watch it for more than 10 min.

My DD has had one in her room since she was a newborn. We shared a room with her for the first year of her life & we had one so I think she got used to the sound. She doesn't really watch it much, but when we put her in bed I turn the TV. I've tried a radio but she knows it's not the same. lol Plus she wakes up in the middle of night sometimes & the tv helps her get back to sleep without screaming.

Okay so I have to admit, my daughter at 4 has an Ipod touch and gllowing Ihome dock in her room. It helps because we can turn the lights out now and she loves music... and I fully believe music is good for you.

I want to get a small cd player for my kid's rooms. My daughter likes to listen to books on tape and stuff, and I think she'd love that. I think music is a wonderful thing, and very different from constant TV.

My oldest has had a tv in his room since he was 2-3. He isn't allowed to keep it on after bedtime so we don't have any issues with it. He just has a DVD player and video games. We just have Netflix in the living room but we'll probably be getting new tvs soon for my sons room and our bedroom with Netflix too. I see nothing wrong with it. My son still plays outside and stuff.

My son has had a tv in the room since age two. It has never been a problem. He has never watched before bed or turned it on when he is not allowed to. He mostly watches tv/plays games down stairs in the living room with all of us. Hardly uses his tv.

The boys are only 15 months right now, so no tv in their room. lol. We only have 1 big ass tv in the living room, which they rarely watch, so I don't see the point, just yet... But when they start watching cartoons or something, then they'll get one.

i plan on not having a tv in DD's room. i had one when i was younger and to this day, i CANNOT go to sleep without a tv on in the background. it annoyed SO quite a bit because he's used to sleeping in dark and silence.

My son has a TV with only VHS capabilities in his room, and he has a TV with cable in his play room, but it seems like he'd rather hang out with DH and I or watch netflix on our Nook Color...

I refuse to put TVs in my kids' rooms until they're at least 13-14 years old, and even then there will be restrictions. The TVs will NOT be on at night, bed time is for sleeping, not for watching TV.
It is a pain trying to get children to go to sleep with a TV in their room. Especially the ones who are old enough to pick their own show/movies, since they're more likely to stay up too late watching TV instead of sleeping.
I'll gladly play music for the kids if they wish to sleep with sound, but TV is just not gonna happen.

No TV in the bedroom, ever as far as I'm concerned.
