Should i invest in a pack and play even with the things i al

I've really been wanting a pack and play lately but i dont know if it would be worth it because i already have a crib for him to sleep in from day 1.. and Ive got a changing table already.. Im getting him a cradle swing... so then do i really need one?? I was thinking it'd be good for traveling and keeping him out in the living room in the open when im doing things but is it really worth getting now??

It's not a necessity, but I have one and I love it. We keep it in the living room so LO can nap during the day downstairs where I am.

i used a pack n play a total of maybe 5 times. it was useless for me.

I love having one. It's nice to take when you travel for them to have somewhere to sleep. Also we have it up in the room we're usually in, so he can nap/play in it when we're in there.

I personally didn't have one. My mom had one for her house, but we never used it. We also never traveled anywhere when she was little, overnight.

Ds loves his. I keep all his little toys in it and he lives to just sit in th middle. It's like a toy box for the living room the the baby can sit it lol.

We have a crib, two bassinets, and a pack-n-play for LO......she sleeps in bed with me XD.

I lobed having a pack n play. I got so much use out of it. It was a lifersaver for us

We also take it outside with us. So he isn't on the dirty patio.

Will he be spending time with the grandmas at all? If so, it'd be nice to have since it transports for sleep. If they have baby beds there, I wouldn't get one. Do you do much traveling? It'll all depend on HOW MUCH you'll need it otherwise I think they're a waist of money. Is your home bilevel or trilevel? If so, you might want one to keep in living room or where you're at when he'll be napping during the day. UNLESS you have a baby monitor. It's smart to stick him in his crib from day 1 anyways. We're having issues getting our 2.5yr old out of our room and he's never used his beds, really much at all.

True ive never thought about the fact i can take it outside..... and i like the toy box idea too

We actually do travel alot.. about 4 or 5 times a year.. going as far up as virginia.
and me and my husband actually live with my parents. we have a big big room BUT i did just think about the fact that my mom is going to help us watch him when we're at work and i could easily move the pack and play in her room so she can hear him... My husbands mom will have a bed.. (our parents r so excited they say its there baby too) I just want to be sure itd get the use that i paid for you know id hate for it to just sit there..... you guys r making me think lol

lol you've spoiled your baby....  . that'd be me but im scared my husband is such a hard sleeper

i have one. DD slept in hers from when she was born until 15 months. we go to visit family a lot so it always comes with us too.
