Thats crappy of her, no its not her child, but I think it's perfectly reasonable to ask family for a favor every now and then, especially when you're going through such a rough time. I know this isnt the point, but do you not qualify for childcare assistance?? I thought that if you qualified for food stamps and worked or went to school that you automatically qualified for daycare assistance. I've been in your shoes before where i couldn't afford to pay rent and all my other bills. Keep your head up, things will get better...

I do qualify for child care assistance... and I've been sitting on their wait list for 8 months now. Because I work full time, I don't qualify for TANF or Aspire...

What about electric assistance? With winter coming up social services starts a program to help with heating (if you use electric heat), I've never been on it so I'm not sure how it works, but it'd be worth calling your social services dept and at least asking.
