clean out a jar
crack a glowstick
cut the glowstick open
empty it into the jar
put some glitter in with the goo
put the cap on and shake it up
they last as long as the glowstick is meant to last and are easy to clean
im definitely making some!

Fairies in a jar <3

This is very pretty, I bet it would look really cool if you used some mason jars.

Now I'm thinking about heading to the dollar store so I can do this

most glow sticks have a glass tube in them. The glass tube holds the chemicals apart until you "break/crack" the glowstick. I would not recommend opening a glowstick and putting in on the carpeting, or in a bath either!

ETA: the glass tube becomes shards of glass when you break/crack the glowstick to activate it!

I crack them and wrap/twist it around my finger to make sure it's really broken up and Ive never had an issue.
