That's not gaining too much. My son was 16 pounds at his four month check up, as well. My pedi told me that he was totally healthy. In the 80th percentile for weight. He's gotten super chubby since then, though. Haha. I'd guess he's at least 20 pounds, but I'm not sure.

I would never do it with my own...and I could probably never work in a day care because people would drive me crazy with the way they want things done. A good friend of mine was a crazy scheduler though. I didn't get it...mainly because I personally find maintaining a schedule is exhausting. Every minute seemed like it was predetermined and things couldn't get off track.

It does drive me crazy! I think what drives me the most crazy is parents who just think that their child is absolutely perfect, and that they could never do something wrong. There is this one child who pushes kids off of the play structures, bites, hits, kicks, spits at you... and his father's defense is "he wouldn't do that."

wtf... SERIOUSLY!? He blames us for his child being out of control. But from my observation it seems his parents just let him do whatever he wants to 100% of the time, so when he's at the child care and expected to do what the rest of the kids are doing and behave he wont.

Have you mentioned to them that she is still hungry! My Sil when her first daughter was born was concerned she was to chunky I told no babies are suppose to be chunky like little sumo wrestlers she put her on a no carb diet for a while awful

It sounds like neglect to me.   2.5 oz is NOT enough for a 6 month old...
I could be ok with the schedule since it's every 2-3 hours but only getting 2.5 oz a bottle is like what a newborn would eat.
And that poor little boy not getting enough food   I would start dropping some major hints....

We put sticky notes in his lunch box saying he didn't like such and such food and never eats it... or that he ate his food and was still very hungry... nothing changes. I think they HAVE to be in control 100%

That's crazy   There was a baby that was kinda like that at the daycare I use to work at but once they finally realized that she was still hungry in between bottles and that it wouldn't kill her to eat on demand they finally let us just feed her when she wanted to eat. But we still had to write down every little thing she did
But they stopped being crazy when she was like 12 weeks old. Not 6 months with a 3 year old brother.
I don't really know what you can do since you've mentioned how you guys feel about it to them already.
They ARE feeding the children and if they are clean and not underweight I don't think you can really take any action. The only thing I can think that could happen is the owner of the daycare telling the parents they can't come to the daycare if they aren't fed properly...
