Me too. We have cut red dye out of my sons diet for behavior issues, and we need to find a medicine he can take that is dye free!! He wont take liquid anymore.

I checked tylenols website, they only make red and purple ones in chewables. How about if you get the purple ones, I know they have red dye but he wont be taking them all the time so maybe he wont react that much.....I dont know. I just know its extremely difficult to give liquid meds to a son who refuses them....and if he needs chewable perscription meds, they only come in amoxicellin and one other kind (not sure the name)! No one ever believes me when I say my son refuses liwuids meds and will gag/puke if you force him....well there are a couple of nurses that now believe me lol

We have the purple ones, that was my logic with them too. He toom some yesterday for the first time since we cut dye out of his diet, and he was like an insane crazed banshee all night. He refuses liquid, too, most people dont believe me when i say that, either

Im not sure what you can give him. I understand your pain and know where you are coming from.....nothing works with my son to get a liquid in him. Is the dye free liquid also taste free? If it is, you could try cutting open a liquid freezie, putting the tylenol in it and standing it in a cup to freeze. I tried it with my sons antibolitic but it was a terrible tasting med so the freezie wouldnt cover the taste and he refused to eat freezies for wks. I tried hiding the meds in diff juices/milks/foods and nothing worked. Good luck! Does ibporfin come in a chewable/dyefree?

Im not sure on the motrin. We typically dont give it to him. The dye free stuff is still flavored, unfortunately. We also tried hiding it, like you did, with the same result. He has a well child visit coming up in a couple of weeks and i am going to ask what he thinks too

I just checked online and advil isnt dye free. My son never responded well to meds hid in stuff either, it was always pointless and I tried a ton diff ways that people suggested and nothing worked!. My Dr was like "you gota get the meds in him" well I know that, but she just didnt understand my son and his refusal to take liquids since he was 2!
