Paraguard

I am getting this on Tuesday. Does it hurt when they put it in? What are your experiences with paraguard?

well I tried having paraguard put in 6 weeks pp but it hurt like hell so I had to wait longer so I could heal. The second time they put it in and it wasn’t bad at all. I have had it for a month and I am still randomly bleeding which sucks. I had to have it trimmed because my man could feel the string. Still waiting for my first period. Other than that everything seems fine lol

It hurt as much as I figured it would for someone shoving something into your uterus  
But after the few days of cramping went away I was good. I've had it for over a year now and it's never caused me any problems.  

I got it about a month ago. It didn't hurt going in. It took maybe 5 mins. Take some motrin about 30 mins prior(800mg?) The cramps about 10 mins after and then the rest of the days SUCKED! Get a heating pad if you don't already have one.. I bled for 2 weeks straight afterwards and haven't had a cycle since, but all-in-all I love it. No hormones and no baby worries. I don't mean to scare you if so, but I am all about honesty.

It really is the best thing ever for me. I don't have to worry about condoms, hormones, it isn't effected by other medications, and has like THE lowest fail rate of all the other BCs.
