everyone is so different on the breast feeding subject . . . If I saw a 5 year old breastfeeding in public , I would definitely be weirded out . . and I really would not want my kid seeing that .

I watched it earlier (it's 12 here now). I was happily surprised. There was only one person that didn't agree with it and she just walked out and didn't even say anything TO the BFing momma  
All the others stuck up for her  

I posted this earlier. I must be in a different time zone cuz it was on 3 hours ago here in Michigan (it's midnight now). Anywho, I watched it and it was good but inwas disappointed the bf segment was only about 5-10 minutes

You're the reason extended breastfeeding is not accepted in this society!

Why? I mean what do you really think it would do to your child to see that?
I mean the worst thing that would happen is they would ask what they were doing, you would tell them, and then your LO would forget about it a few hours later.
It's not like they are watching a sexual or abusive act. It's nature. You're just not use to it.

sorry , it is just weird to me . . I cannot help the way I feel . My kid has never sucked on my boobs , and if I was walking down the street with my kid and she had to see a 5 year old breast feeding . . . it would make for a very weird conversation that I would not know how to address . breast feeding makes me very creeped out with my own kid, let alone watching someone else do it . . please forgive the way I feel

All you have to do is tell them it's natural, and not everyone does it but that's fine too.

The best thing you can do for your child is educate them, because otherwise they'll grow up thinking it's weird too when it's really not.

I dont BF, and I prob never will...I'm not even like that...

And that's fine that you didn't BF. But you need to tell your child about it and let them make their own decision on it. It's natural. Eventually they are going to see/hear about it and it would be good if they are knowledgeable about it.
You don't have to like it but don't look down on others for doing something that is completely natural and good.
