yea , I mean . . . when my daughter grows up , if she decides to breastfeed I will 100% support her in it . But I surely do not want to watch her kid breast feed . . . or any kid breast feed . . I dont know why I am this way , I wish I was more comfortable with it , but even thinking of my own baby drinking milk from my breasts makes me want to vomit. . . I do not know why?

that's fine, but it just seems to judgmental to be weirded out by what someone else does w/ their body or child. I know the U.S. in particular really sexualizes women, especially their boobs, but there is nothing wrong w/ a child 'sucking' on them... they're supposed to...

I hate when people tell a breastfeeding mother that she shouldn't do it in public or at least cover up because "what is my kid gonna think??" I don't give a smurf what your kid is gonna think! Educate them!

However, that being said, I do think 4 or 5 years old is pushing it when it comes to breastfeeding (personally) But, I would never tell a mother that she shouldn't do it. It's just not for me past 2 (which to my understanding is the age they recommend weaning) But, to each their own. If I was able to remember my Mom breastfeeding me, I think it would make for some unpleasant images in my mind...lol

anyway, I probably wouldn't even notice. Idk my friend still BFs her 3.5 yr old so I'm pretty desensitized to it lol. I'm pretty sure I could never ever do it though (extended BFing that is, I want to BF)

So what? You're going to make your daughter leave the room if she is at your house when her child gets hungry? Or make her go out of her way to pump just because you're uncomfortable with it?

Wow.   I feel bad for your children. I hope for their sakes that they have some really supportive friends and that more of their family is supportive because you will be no help when they have a child. Especially if they decide to breast feed.
I would be livid if my mother had made me move to a different room to BF.
Hell I remember once when I was out LO got hungry and I had never BFd in public. A lady realized what was going on and told me to go sit at her desk. And that if anyone said anything to me that she would give them a piece of their mind.

I don't know anyone that would want to pull out their pump in front of a room full of people...haha. I am all for breastfeeding (as I do it myself) I don't mind breastfeeding in public, but I sometimes think a lot of breastfeeding mamas take it too far (especially if they're going to start pumping in front of everyone.) I pump at home, and I go to a separate room, because it's weird and unnatural. Breastfeeding in my own home is another thing. If I'm out in public and my baby gets hungry, I will feed him right then and there. But if I'm in someone else's house that is obviously uncomfortable with it, I will excuse myself for their sake. If they come to my house though, that's a different story.


Edit: There's no need to make this girl feel guilty about bein uncomfortable with breastfeeding. She already said she wishes she was more open to it, but she's not. End of story. Not everyone has to be ok with it
