Stretch Marks
posted 5th Oct
I will be 35 weeks tomorrow and I was looking at my belly in the mirror just now and I noticed i'm starting to get bright red stretch marks I had my first son at 35 weeks so I guess my belly never had a chance to get that big, and I know I should be grateful that so far this pregnancy has been a healthy one, but I just cant help but cry a little. It might just be the freaking hormones but damn, I feel stupid crying over this
Just tell me that these bright red marks aren't the end of the freaking world please...

I used to freak about stretchmarks too. I didn't get many with my first pregnancy but with my second i got a fair few. It's not the end of the world, they fade with time and they just become a part of you. Plus it's well worth it.

I'm 31 weeks...almost 32....and I've had terrible stretch marks for a few weeks now. (Ahhh, the joys of too much water and a chubby little boy...haha)
Don't worry though Stretch marks aren't the end of the world. If they itch, put some lotion or (my personal favorite) bagbalm on it. It'll help and keep your tummy soft.

Quoting Due Oct 20th ! !:" are you using any creams?"
I use that cocoa butter crap but not religiously, just every once in awhile.

They are not the end of the world... there is a bunch of things out there that you can use to reduce stretch marks and sometimes they will just disappear depending on what product you use. check into Bio Oil, or the IT WORKS body wraps- they have defining gel that works great. just do some research. its nothing to cry about but i have been there and have cried over stretch marks too.

My 1st pregnancy I gained 67 pounds, my stretch marks weren't just scars, but CRATERS. I used an AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) lotion twice daily after pregnancy with a weekly microdermabrasion scrub. It made the color match my skin tone but the craters were still there. I'm at 33 weeks with this pregnancy and have been using the same AHA and scrub and my stretch marks are actually going away. I wish I had done this with the my first but now I swear by it.

Try using the " Tummy Butter" stuff from Wal mart. stretch marks are genetic in my family . . but I used that tummy butter for both pregnancies and so far so good !

I had my 1st Ds at 16 and for 7 months nothing. Then I woke up 1 day with terrible stretch marks I was devistaded. With my 2nd Ds I got them on my thighs and sides oh well my boys are healthy teenagers it's the price you have to pay. But.... I heard Bio- oil works very well to get rid off them and they sell it at Target try that and good luck

mate crying is normal.. as a woman u loose that beauiful clear skin that u were born with... but on the up side the redness goes and fades over time... ur baby needs the space... i guess u will not be wearing belly showing tops but on the other hand u will have ur bub!

I was all sad one day over getting some when I was pregnant with my daughter then I ran into my firend who was due a week before me and she had so many stretch marks they made a perfect bullseye around her belly button. She's still proud of them to this day and always helps me not feel so bad about mine : )
