Need non-CIO tips please

posted 5th Oct
DD hates her crib to no end. All he does is scream her head off until she throws up multiple times. I'm on the fence with CIO but DD is soo underweight that I can't have her losing calories like that.

We rock her to sleep and no matter how out cold she is, the second you start putting her in the crib she wakes up and freaks out.

Personally, I cosleep. If you're not comfortable with that, possibly a bassinet next to your bed?

Are you laying her on her back? Have you tried a fan in the room?

It's on, I've also tried the songs on her swing that she loves :/. Puts me to sleep though lol

Try putting a heating pad on the spot you're going to lay her on until it is warm (not too hot of course  ), it will be cozy and feel like your body heat. When you lay her down do you hold her really close to your body the whole way down? She might wake up if it feels like she's falling. And definitely white noise or lullaby music.

Shes too long and can crawl so no go on the bassinet. I was letting her cosleep but have since changed my mind. Our bed is a pillow top and I'm overweight.

A fan for noise? We have the AC on cause it's super warm in there. Yes she's on her back but she's mobile so she doesn't stay that way lol

What about the crib up against your bed?

It's that drop she wakes up on, but her crib is all the way down so my body doesn't go far down in there.
I have tried putting a warm towel down and lifting it before she goes in, but it's that putting her in part where she wakes up. I also wish she could go to sleep on her own in there though

Yup, tried that. If the slats could fit my arm better I think it would've helped more cause I could've had my hand on her belly which she likes

Aw, that is hard. What do you do when she wakes back up? Do you pick her up or do you try to get her back to sleep in the crib?
