re: Need non-CIO tips please

Try keeping your hands on her for a few minutes once you lay her down. Once she cries, pick her up, rock her back to sleep, and lay her back in the crib. It will probably take awhile but she probably just gets scared since you are no longer there.

My daughter was the same way until she was about 9 months old. I slept in recliners or propped up in bed becasue that's the only way she would sleep.

If the 'drop' into the crib woke my kids, I used to push down on the matress gently over and over until they were back asleep. The motion soothed them. I also let them sleep in their swing.

<blockquote><b>Quoting Δ ☮ ∂:</b>" Aw, that is hard. What do you do when she wakes back up? Do you pick her up or do you try to get her back to sleep in the crib?"</blockquote>

I've tried both. If I pick her back up right away she is more likely to fall back asleep in my arms, if I try to calm her in the crib she will fully wake up and start crying.

I rub her tummy and she does this thing were she will start to fall asleep and then wake back up, but never fully falls asleep. I've done this for 30 min straight and she won't fall into a deep sleep.

She's used to her swing and we are trying to ean wean her. I've even cut nap time a bit so she's more tired...nothing

weeks right? (im assuming shes the darling in the pic) my son refused to lay anywhere unless he was swaddled. have you tried a swaddler? white noise, celing projectors worked great (nursary images w sound), walmart carrys a portable vibrater to make any surface viberate, ie the crib. also, a crib wedge may help, maybe shes having a bit of acid reflux? gassy? tried drops? my son was just flat out angry for the first 3-4 months, lol. all these things worked for him, (mostly for just minutes at a time, but the swaddle worked alllllll night!) i had a little music box i kept on the side of the car seat that i would push when he cried, worked like a charm.

It's the swing I'm trying to get away from....she's underweight but she's going to hit the weight limit eventually!!

I'll try the mattress thing, I actually just disassembled her bouncy seat and attached the vibrator to her crib....nothing.

I wish I could have the mattress up high that would let me slowly bring it down!

Swaddling is amazing! One of my friend's DD wouldnt quit crying one night so she told her husband it was his turn. Next thing you know he's back in the room getting into bed. He swaddled their daughter so tight she couldn't wiggle out of it and slept like a log : )

Sorry, no I meant months. She used to sleep well when she was younger.

Hmm maybe the WM vibrator would work better, he'll I'm about to strap a frickin dildo to the crib if itll get her to sleep!!

I have a makeshift wedge for the crib and she's on meds for reflux. *sigh* I wish I could swaddle her!

What I did for B was I'd put her in her bed, awake, with white noise on and the lights off (with a night light) or very dim. She'd have her paci and blankie and I'd lay on my bed (her crib is about a yard away from my bed). She could see me and I could see if she got up. When she got up I would gently lay her back down and tell her it's time to go to sleep. Then I'd lay down again. If she started to whimper or fuss I'd shhhhhhh her softly and tell her it's time to go to sleep.
It took about 2 months, but she sleeps all night in her crib, and she falls asleep without me in there on most nights. I slowly decreased the amount of time I spent in the room and eventually it was us cuddling for a few minutes, I'd lay her down and tell her it's time to go to sleep.

Lol at least he did it! : ) Last time my DH had to take a turn was when DD was waking up screaming and crying at night and I would end up sitting in her room for hours or she would end up in our bed because I could never figure out what was wrong. He goes in one time asks what's wrong and she tells him, she was afraid of her giant Mickey doll so he took it out. Problem solved, she hasn't done it since   Not even fair lol

Hahaha.

She's got 7 teeth but I can't feel anymore coming in, and this isn't a new thing. Started around 6 months adjusted , maybe earlier? The problem was she went from bassinet in the PNP to her swing :/. It's kinda probably all my fault

I'll check out the WM thing, thanks

Where does she nap? I got DS used to playing in his crib and now he takes his naps in it. He still sleeps in a travel lite pack n play next to my bed at night but I mkae him play in the crib with a movie on or something so he's used to it. Tonight the power went out and when it came back on the tv didn't so he just fell asleep : )
It's taken awhile but we are making progress, you will too : ) Preemies have it tough : )
