Got my pump today!

So I had my baby shower last weekend and it turned out really great! About 20 something people came and I got lots of good stuff plus about $400 in gift cards! So all week I have been getting all the last things that I need. I am having her in 4 weeks on June 23rd, scheduled c-section because my first two were. So the very last thing that I needed was my pump and I got that today, put it in its place and now I am all ready! I am going to be home with her doing home daycare so I didn't need some $350 pump in style Medela but I wanted a decent one that wouldn't give out on me so I went with the Lansinoh Double Electric. It was $150 and got really great reviews online. Most said that it worked just as well as the medela so I am happy. I tried it out to see if the suction was good and everything and right away some colostrum came out so I know it works. I only did it for like a minute too because that can actually induce labor. I just wanted to make sure it worked. So yeah, thats all......just wanted to share my excitment that the last and final thing I needed is in place! Now all I can do is wait.......for 4 weeks, ugh!!! At least the pool is open now and I can spend time there with my two girls who are 6 and 7. Waiting sucks!

aww so exciting to be all ready and have everything set up!  I actually got my pump at my shower, but I remember being really excited when I sterilized all of my bottles and the pump and used my little bottle drying rack for the first time.  I was so happy folding baby clothes too when I put them all away the first time...and even the first few loads of laundry...now I hate baby laundry and it has been sitting (clean) in a hamper for a week..haha.  Congrats on putting the final touches on getting ready for baby though!!

Thanks! Ohhh, yeah I guess I should sterilize all the bottles and pump pieces huh. I completely forgot! At least it gives me something to do, lol!

I LOOOOOOVE my Lansinoh Double Electric pump! It's by far the best electric pump I've found. You don't need to spend $300 on a good quality pump. It's made by Hollister Ameda, and is simply the Purely Yours rebranded as Lansinoh.

That is the pump I plan on getting! I'm glad to hear you like it, makes me feel even more comfortable buying it!

I use it three times a day when I have to work. If the diaphrams (sp?) wear out, they're dirt cheap to replace. But Lansinoh includes two spare sets in the box. You can order parts from Lansinoh or Ameda. They're all the same.

Yeah, I heard that it has the same parts as the Ameda. I am glad to here so many good things about it! I have a question though, is it suppossed to make a beeping sound when it pumps? Thanks guys!

Yes, it beeps. I don't know why, but I'm guessing it has something to do with the pistons inside. Anywho, just know that it's normal, even if we don't know what it is. :p
