That's great that she and the kids took it well! My mom was the same way, it took me about a week to tell my mom and brothers that I had gotten married. I hope his family take it better than expected. All that should matter is you and your husband's happiness.
On a side note, I'm now craving In and Out burgers and fries like crazy, and we don't have them anywhere near me. This makes me soooo sad lol. When I visit Missouri later this month, I'm going to stuff my face with In and Out burgers until I can no longer walk hahaha.

we're having 3 children and he's adopting 3 of mine, that's 6 kids altogether. I'm pretty sure a judge would give me the house anyway and if not i'll get enough money to probably buy my own.

Op him adopting/you have children together has nothing to do with premarital property assets are split that are accumulated during the marriage sorry to say. You shouldn't even worry about what you'd get because if you love him and he loves you like you say he does then this isn't an issue...just clarifying on what would happen should anything happen

Half of what? You won't get anything he had prior to marriage and will only get 1/2 of what he earns after marriage.

We got married in our friends house, but it wasn't really a wedding either. My friends brother wed us, and it really wasn't fancy. So I'm going to say inbetween. I was about as far along as you are now, maybe a couple weeks more when I got married.   All we had was my father and his wife, my best friend, her boyfriend at the time and two people to take pictures (and they did a horrible job of it too lol).
