Too young?
posted 5th Oct
I just had my baby a week ago and I'm already letting family members babysit her. Is it too soon to let them watch her? I get nervous about it but sometimes I need a break.

Eh yeah i would say for me personally way too young.

Define babysit? Watch for an hour so you can bathe normal. Hours or days at a time not so normal unless you're working.

It's not something that I would want to do. But, if you are okay with it and you trust them it's not wrong.

Way too young for me. I could never imagine letting my girls go that early. It took me awhile before anyone could watch them.

I 100% would not let a baby that little out of my sight, and at that age there is not much to need a break from.

do you still want it to just be you and your boyfriend OP? are you still thinking about adoption?

My oldest is 2 years, that's still to young for me.

I'm sorry but what do you need a break from at only a week old? Most babies just sleep, eat, and poop.

Based on your last thread, no, I think it's a good thing you're spending time away from the baby. That's better then doing something you'd regret like hurting the baby.
But I must say, if you're thinking about adoption, do it now before the baby gets any older. good luck!!

My oldest son screamed nonstop, it was so hard. I seriously tried to bring him back to the hospital the day we came home, I was convinced that he was broken or something. Lol

I personally would not let someone watch my 1 week old. Nobody watched my daughter for more than 10 minutes til she was nearly a year and between a year and 2 and a half I had a babysitter only a handful of times and most of those times were so I could go grocery/present shopping.

Yeah I do miss it when it was just me and my boyfriend but no I could never give her up for adoption. I just like time with him and I trust my mom with her for a couple of hours but that's it
