When does a child..

Stop drinking formula and breast milk. I know some people go on breastfeeding for years but when is it safe to cut all that and give them juice and water and regular milk?

A year old. If they stop breastfeeding before a year, they should drink formula until they're a year old. Juice is unnecessary.

1 year old.

My doc told me at 1 to start weening him off of formula and onto milk.

Formula at a year, breastmilk whenever the mom and baby decide it's time to stop. At a year old they can start on whole milk. No juice necessary, just water.

Regular milk and only whole milk at 12 months and as far as juice goes I gave my son juice mixed with water when he started to eat finger foods at about 10months.

What? Why don't you want to give your child juice? Like capri suns and orange juice, apple juice is bad? What about mio, the stuff that flavors water. I am expecting my first so I am not really educated on this?

1 but water down the juice a lot and only use 100% juice i wouldnt even start juice until 1 if theyve never had it they wont know the difference but 100% juice gives them fruit and/or veggie servings i would just do like 2oz of juice with 2oz of water twice a day

You should use whole milk until age 2. Their brains need the fat.

Yep whole milk until 2. That's how WIC does, they give them whole until 2 and then 2% at 2

I dont get WIC so I just did 1% bc it was less fattening. oops!

Juice isn't good for their teeth and its too sugary which is why I watered it down. & IMO is artificial flavoring and sugary crap you don't want a child to have.

Lol, at that age whole milk is what they need :p
I wouldn't worry about "fattening" at that age. ha.
