Sell it! You won something worth $500, there's no reason you shouldn't have around that amount of use out of it.

And IDK, I would almost feel bad profiting from it if I got it for free, but you could maybe re-gift it.
If no one you know needs/wants it, maybe donate it, or if you WOULD like to exchange it, or profit, put it on a FB trading post or on CL?

I'd sell it, depending on what it is. There is nothing wrong with selling something you won, but wont use, to someone who would have bought it regardless from another source.

Either would be fine. It's yours, you won it fair and square. If you could use the money for something else, sell it. If you don't have anything you want in mind and have a close family member/friend who could use it, gift it to them.

I kinda did both, I won a massage chair worth about 5000 and at first I tried to sell it then I found out through my friend's husband that she had wanted one for a while but they couldn't justify the money on it, so since it was 7 days before christmas and he was helping us move and we had no room for it in our new place I told him to take it and give it to her for christmas. He did and a number of times since then we've needed plumbing or refridgeration service in our new place and since that his field of expertise he's just helped us out with it, no one ever said it was in repayment for the chair but I think it kindof influence their desire to do things for us.

yea, i guess it also depends on where we are monetarily and whatnot...so not a very fair question.

I've sent in a request to see if I can trade in the prize for something else, so we will see  

I'd sell it, unless it was around Christmas or a birthday - I would regift.
