excusively pumping

posted 5th Oct
I pumped the first few months of my first three babies lives but i chose not to breast feed. My milk supply went away after those first few months and i then bottle fed them formula. I am all for all natural birth no meds and things like that but for me breastfeeding was mot for me. I tried with all 3 kids the first few wks and none of my children latched on As i had all my children vlose together life would have been to hectic to keep it up. This pregnancy is different did anyone exclusively breastfeed? How did u maintain your supply. IM 5 wks pregnant with 4th baby and life is more hectic then ever now with my oldest starting kindergarden in august and i will have my other two who will be 2 and 4 by august here with me with the infant but im choosing to stick it out and try to do it at least the first 9-10 mths of my childs life.Iknow alot of women think breast feeding is the best solution but all my kids were formula fed and very healthy and intelligent. This might be my last baby so I am defintley wanting to try a new approach. Once you reach your 4th child you have to pretty much give in to any hopes of quiet or no caos. Its my life and I woukdnt change it for anything.

I think breastfeeding is easier than formula feeding. Not bottles to clean, no water to heat up, and a bunch of other stuff. I EBFed until 8 months then started babyfood. But I just weaned my son fully at 2 1/2. I just led him breastfeed on demand whenever he wanted. And I can't stress this enough, drink plenty of water.

Im in kinda the same position you are. My first 3 kids I didnt have time to breastfeed my life was very hectic and quite frankly I wasnt into it. Im 7 months preg and am all for breastfeeding. I plan on doing it as long as possible. Hopefully my supply wont dry up and the baby wont have any issues with latching on. Good luck to you.

Oh wow lol we are both on our 4th child and both are considering same options. I really felt uncomfortable trying to breastfeed and obviously my children didnt feel comfortable either. They did like my breast milk i pj,ped Thats what i meant did anyone exclusively pump? Im hoping by pumping i can still keep my supply up.Maybe by doing it 7-8 xs a day will help. After you have so many kids you already know that your life is caotic amd you dont have much free time to think about anything but when you are used to it things arent as hard bc its so familiar i guess. Do you want anymore children? I said im completly happy with 4 im hoping for a boy so i can have 2 of each but if i ever win thr lottery im def going for 6-8 kids i love my babies and there all so diff.

I tried exclusively breast-feeding, and he just wouldn't latch correctly so I tried exclusively pumping and I dried up quickly.
