Fear of flying.

How did you get over it? My two VERY best friends are now in Las Vegas. (Well one is headed there after this weekend.) None of us have seen each other in years because we've all been busy the past few years. (Raising kids, one is in the army. One...just needed space for a while.)

But now they'll both be there. And I'm here. All the way in South Louisiana. So far away.  

So I plan on saving money and trying to get out there before 2014. And it'll have to be a plane. There is no way we'll be in the car for that long. Smuuuuurf that noise.

So....if you're scared how did you get over it besides flying?

I'm scared of flying also so I'm watching...

Just get on the plane ... I always here youre so much more likely to get in a crash on the way to the airport then for something to happen while youre up there! Its not that bad either. Once you get up there youll be like WTF was I afraid of!?!

I took a xanax and popped in some headphones. I hate flying more than anything but with those 2 things, it's tolerable.

I'm not scared of dying. I'm scared of how smurfing high in the air I'll be while in a plane. I like the ground...a lot.

Lol... ya it is pretty high! Just imagine its a bus!

I highly medicate myself before I fly. Every time I fly. Which is often.
It's not getting over it, but it's close enough.

No idea what your views on alcohol/weed are or if you drink/smoke, but having a drink or taking a hit to calm the nerves works wonderfully. My favourite, most relaxing flights have been when I was a little beyond sober.
