Have you taken either? My dr. prescribed both for me. What's your experience with them?

Love klonopin.
Either way don't base your opimion off other peoples experience. Everyone has a different brain chemistry.

I was on Buspar. Klonopin is very addicting. Normally it isn't prescribed for long term

Klonopine isn't that addictive for most. They recommend it over Ativan because is less addictive and most people don't become dependent.

i took it everyday for somewhat over a year and then took myself off of it cold turkey when i realized i didn't need it anymore, probably should have went off long before i did.. didn't have any issues coming off it and never had to up my dose at all throughout the time i took it.

I had ativan from when I went to the ER last week. I was really loving it. I split 1 mg into a half and two quarters. I took one quarter when I woke up the other quarter halfway through the day and the half at night. I felt like a completely different person. I could actually focus and study

Same here.. and its so nice because its like an as-needed drug. Mainly I did it at night to control obsessive cleaning and racing thoughts. Had no issues not taking it like I did with SSRI's

Klonopin is actually frequently used as an as needed anxiety med over the other meds, because it's less addictive than some of the others. Ativan, xanax, etc are way more addictive.

Buspar will help lower anxiety as well, making it where you need the Klonopin less. It's a pretty good medication.
