With the tea tree you just put it in with regular shampoo friends kids got it and it kept coming back tea tree was the only thing that got rid of it every so often you can put a few drops in the shampoo as a precautionary measure but you do need to wash all bedding and toys and hats ect in hot water anything that you can't wash put in tied up garbage bags for a week or two then use a nitcomb they will be gone

Mayo. My mom used it on my sister (whom seemed to get lice if anyone in a 20 mile radius of her had it...poor girl).

You pretty much cover your head in mayo, then wrap it with saran wrap. Leave it on for 20+ minutes. Then wash it out and use a fine tooth comb to get them all out. It will kill everything.

Or blow drying the hair will kill everything (which obviously wouldn't work on an infant.) I always would blow dry my hair when I was younger and when my mom found out I had it, everything was always dead because of the heat.

I did mayo for 2 hours. Put a whole jar of mayo on and stuck on a shower cap. Wash out and you will find tons of dead lice as you watch because they suffocated in the mayo.
Then wash mayo out with tea tree oil added to your shampoo.

I used to have hair down to my butt when I was little...so I got lice more than a few times   (my dad had rats living in his house, which didn't help). My mom would get one of the lice combs, sit me down in front of the TV, and saturate my head with vinegar. It smelled TERRIBLE, but it worked.
As a preventative, she would put a little teatree oil in my shampoo and conditioner. I'm not sure that's okay for sensitive baby scalps though...

I was just like your sister ... seems like i ALWAYS had it as a kid. And to make it worse, i had hair to my ass and my hair is super thick.

I've had many families i work with use those and they still had a live infestation. I think they're a false sense of succeeding.

My mom did Mayo too and it works sooo good. She only left it in for 4 hrs though or over night. She'd put something over our head though to make sure all the Mayo stays in. I hope this helps!
