And there is nothing over the counter for BV you have to take an antibiotic and its only on prescription.

That's what I thought, and the only way to know if it is bacteria or not is go in and have a sample of the discharge taken.

i had that happen to me a month or so ago. I went to the doc and they perscribed a 3 day script... but it didnt clear up. I went to the store and got a thing of monistat 7 and it totallyl cleared up. I would go for the 7 day treatment because being pregnant it can take longer to clear up a yeast infection. Hope you feel better soon!

Quoting Ashleyx4:" Is it different if you have the bacteria? Because I was always told that bacteria ones have to use antibiotics.

I had a bacteria infection and my midwife told me that with bacteria infections you have to use antibiotics. Because I was like, I don't feel like I have an infection (I used to get yeast infections a lot when I was younger) and she explained the difference to me.

to answer ops question
MONISTAT 7 DAY.. difference between yeast and UTI is yeast gives you an itchy painful vagina and is all connected to your pee.

for everyone else..
STFU about her insurance. if she wanted insurance advice she would have asked for it. but she didnt. she asked for vagina advice.

You can take the Monistat as everyone has already said. For those who were wondering what is the oral medication (pregnant women are NOT recommended to take it) it is called fluconazole and it's usually just 1 pill of 150mg.

OP there is also an over the counter test you can do. I don't know how good it is but I think it tells you if it's a yeast infection and if it's not it'll tell you that you should be seen by a doctor. If you had a UTI, it wouldn't be itchy (I have had many, none are to me) but it would hurt to pee and you go every 5 min for a little drop. Yeast infections usually make you have a cottage cheese like discharge and lots of itchiness and BV may cause smelly discharge and it may look milky.

I read on a FB preggo group, where women woud put a clove of garlic up their vagina (peeled of course), like half a finger length up before going to bed. In the morning,, it will either fall out or you can pull it out (some people attached a string to it) and it cleared up the yeast infection in one day. But you breath will taste/smell like garlic in the morning. I have never done this or heard of it, but these women swear by it!

That sounds really gross! If I would put any food in there it would be plain yogurt. Garlic overnight inside my vagina?? I probably wouldn't be able to have sec for weeks lmao
