the fire alarm works

Ugh. When ONE battery went out, ALL 8 of them went off and it was the first time since moving in the house. They were going off constantly for 2 hrs because I had no idea what to do/what was going on. DH almost had to come home from work. I finally found the manual and figured that smurf out. I also had to get out the 10 ft tall ladder because it was one of the one's on the super tall ceiling.

I've only set it off cooking once and that was when I broiled bacon for the first time....
