Ok my wonderful mother is throwing me a Baby shower, and she has asked me to put together a list of people to invite that she may have missed and what not. We are having it at a resturant who is doing a wide variety of food and so forth.. the baby shower is going to cost 10 dollars a person so depending on how many people it can get very expensive pretty quick.My question is should I include a list of baby items I still need to get for baby in the shower invite. Of course I would include a simple note saying you are not obligated to purchase,but just an idea of what I am lacking... since I have had a few ppl ask what I am needing for baby. My mother thinks its a good idea. I don't want to sound like a total b&tch, because I just feel like if my mother is going to spend 700-800 on a baby shower I would like to make it worth while.. I also know the whole point of a baby shower is to celebrate the baby and make it the baby's day. I am also afraid I am going to make it sound like I am expecting a gift from everyone and I don't want to make people who can't really afford much like I don't appreciate their thoughts and what not.. I don't know what would y'all do? Any advice,suggestions,or ideas?

Register at your fav store (walmart, target, babiesrus, another baby store, etc) and just write in te invites "I am registered at here".

  Just register at whatever stores you want and then write in there that you're registered at those stores. Then if they want to buy you a gift, they can go look up your registry (even online) and see exactly what you need.

Thanks   with everything going on I didn't even stop to think about registering anywhere.. my babygirl is trying to come very early and have been in and out of the hospital. And Im trying to help my mom out as much as I can (she isn't the healthiest person) and this is also her first grandbaby..

Just put a note saying Helpful Gift Hints and then list it or register and put a note saying you're registered at walmart, kmart, babys r us, ect.

You can even do the registry from your computer at home, so you don't have to risk the baby by walking around the stores.

I agree with the other ladies register at a store for what you still need and put in the invite where you are registered at.
