pronounce the name Hailey?

Hailey is Hay Lee

Haley would be the latter.

That's what I thought. I like the "Hay lee" pronunciation but prefer the Hailey spelling over Hayley. DH thinks people will always say it wrong.

My daughter's name is Hailey and my MIL ALWAYS pronounces it Hail lee....I have corrected her and it doesn't change...she's the only one who says it that way though.

I just sent my mom a text asking this question and she said it like that too  

The poll is enough for me though, hopefully DH agrees.

I think I'm guilty of saying it both ways.   I did vote the first option because it seems legit. lol Fortunately I can't think of either I know in real life at the moment. A friend's daughter is Haley and I know she calls her hail-ee.

If someone introduced someone as either way, I'd do my best to remember which pronunciation though.

I completely agree. It has hail right in there...not hay.

I think of it as more of Hai - Lee (pronounced Hay lee)

I pronounce it hay lee
