Exactly. I have had some VERY trying times with SO's son. Do I hate him? Do I even dislike him? No way. Hes my boy. And I love him despite him being very, very trying.

No it will not. The kids step dad makes double what my SO makes, and his income has no bearing on my SOs child support obligation.
