Feel like a bad mom...

I feel like a horrible mom when I'm sick(whole body aches, sinuses, head, and throat hurt, and a temp 102.8 ). I loose all my patiences with my boys very fast. It's not even an hour into our day and I am already having them sit in their room so I can take a breather.
What are some actives do you have your little ones do when you are sick?

Movies, snacks? Lay in their room with them while they play. They shouldn't be expected to slow down just because you're sick but you can let them know how bad you feel and ask them to please simmer down because you don't feel well.

I would just let them do whatever they wanted and everyone hang out in the living room with a movie on.

I usually do things that would require me to lay down and the kiddos to play. Like playing doctor or playing "I spy" and making them find the object you're thinking of and bring it to you. Movies are good, too. Or making a fort so you can lay in it with them and tell them stories. Reading books is a good one, too. Puzzles.

There are lots of things you can do so you are all sitting still. Or you could just hand them some toys in the living room and just let them at it.

When I'm really sick I usually just put movies/cartoons on and set up art stuff at the table. She'll go play and do whatever but I can just relax.

I'm not expecting them to slow down just because i'm sick. I just don't have the energy to be playing the normal chasing them around the house type games, so was looking for more ideas on sitting activities.

I was just going by the OP when you said you had them go sit in their room.

oh when I feel like we all need a breather from each other they go to their room not really sit they play and I just take like a five min break to get some patiences back. (Before they got sent in there they got in trouble for playing with things they weren't suppose to.)

Absolutely. I have to utilize that option sometimes too.
