should I just give this stuff away?

posted 5th Oct
I have about 300 pieces of clothing ranging from 0-3 to 6-9 and I've tried selling some of it but no luck.
I know a girl who is due the same day I was with a girl, should I just give her everything?
I know she can't afford to buy the things she needs and I already gave her a carseat, and a matching bouncer (for free, which it was $300 new and only got used for about 6 months)

I have to much crap taking up too much room!

Do you have a Once Upon a child store there? You could take it to them & see what they are willing to buy from you & then give the rest to your friend.

i was going to suggest taking them a consignment shop too. Find one that will either pay you for the clothes or will give you store credit for them, and then you can get more clothes in your childs size

I would just give them away, personally.

I hate consignment shops, nothing but a hassle. I have never gotten anything from the stuff I brought in on morew then one occassion.

A few months ago I donated about 7 garbage bags if not more of baby and kids clothes, along with toys and lots of other stuff. Its too much work to sell the stuff for me. People say they want it then dont come or get it and complain etc...I just give everything away now. lol

Maybe its just the Once Upon A Child here, but u cant makr an appointment to have them check out ur stuff so u have to wait ur turn. Ive waited over 2 hours before for them to look through 3 big bags of stuff only for them to buy maybe 3 outfits and pay me like $5. Not worth my time.... and they only buy name brand clothes that are in season. u prolly could have gotten some good money out of the car seat and bouncer though. Maybe ask around to some of the other consignment shops. U might have netter luck there. With that much clothes though it seems like it would take forever to go through. Id just give e to the girl, u said shes already not that well off so she would prolly appreciate it much more. Unless u need the money of course.

Give it away. Especially if you know someone that needs it and doesnt really have the means to get it

Give it to your friend. OUAC barely pays you anything. It probably cost more in gas to get there vs what they will pay you.

I have got loads of toys, moses basket, sterilizer, clothes etc, waiting for the young couple across the road to find out what they are having and giving it all away.
