Breast feeding to sleep

posted 5th Oct
Does anyone have any advice on how I can get my daughter to fall asleep without having to be breastfed till she falls asleep. I have to nurse her till she falls asleep Or is almost asleep and then sneak her into her crib. It's getting bad because she is now teething on my boobs just as she starts falling asleep and it HURTS! Also she still wakes up every 2 hours and I have to repeat the process of nursing her to sleep and sneaking her in her bed. She will be 6 months on the 13th. I don't believe in CIO but any other advice would be awesome. I have tried rocking her and all sorts of things but she just wants the boob!

My solution was to cosleep. He still nurses to sleep at 18 mos. I'm no help, lol.

  This, lmao.
Except my daughter is 21m. I'm not in any hurry to stop nursing her to sleep. My DD's teeth hurt when she fell asleep for a while (it's when they get lazy as they're falling asleep, so you try to get your nipple out but then their teeth end up scraping, aaargh), but we got used to it and she improved.

We don't co- sleep because we are both rollers. We toss and turn all night and I would hate for one of us to hurt her

I can almost guarantee it wouldn't happen. A mama knows when her baby is there   My DD sleeps between me and a bedguard, with SO on the other side of me.

This lol! My dd is eleven months and has to nurse to sleep. Cosleeping saved my sanity.

We did recently find out though that dd will go down for a nap or for the night if he daddy rocks her to sleep. She won't let me rock her to sleep though, she instantly gets mad. Maybe have your husband put her down every once in awhile to give you a break. Or take some late night shifts when you know she's not hungry.

Good luck! I wouldn't worry though, it's perfectly nature for your boob to be your baby's soother.

What we do is Isaac's crib is strapped to our bed with the side removed, so he has his own space but I can just roll over and nurse him. I'm a roller too! Three of us in a queen size bed so would not work for me! I don't even like sharing the space with my hubby, lol.

Hey I also meant to mention The No-Cry Sleep Solution by Elizabeth Pantley. I've heard good things about it. I even have the book, but haven't bothered to read it because what we're doing works for us.
