Loosing weight then gaining it back????

Three weeks I had weighed myself, (As I do every other Sunday) and I dropped 2 1/2 lbs. and last week I weighted myself again and I gained 5 lbs!!!! I was doing good on eating and exercising as well!!! How is this?? If loosing weight is going to be like this, then whats the point in trying?? ugghhhh I am so upset. I don't know what to do???!!  
I had just started Monday going on night walks with my husband and our daughter and I feel better about myself, I am just nervous about jumping on that scale and seeing more weight go up ;/
HELLPP???

It's not necessarily about the weight. If you've been working out then you're gaining muscle which weighs more than fat. You should be able to notice a difference in tone or inches lost, not just on the scale. I know it's frustrating but you just have to keep with it!! A few pounds can just be water weight!

There is a number of reasons, how much clothing you had on before and now this time..which wouldnt explain that much but bear with me. It also can go into affect when you have your menstral cycle..blotting that kind of thing, The more you excerses you will lose the fat but sometimes the muscle mass will weigh more.. Also consider that if your not taking in as much callories then your body will try to retain some to try and adjust its self that just takes time.

Wrong.
A pound is a pound. A pound of fat does not weigh more than a pound of muscle. However, fat does take up a lot more space/volume than muscle.

You just have to be consistent. Eat better, more fruits and veggies, drink only water, and exercise.
The weight didnt get there overnight so it's going to take some time to get it off.

I love water!! And thats almost all I drink, so thats not tough, but my husband is a straight junk food junky, so its hard to do it all alone.
