i need advice... purple crying?

posted 4th Oct
DD had her two month shots a couple weeks ago and was miserable from them. For a week she barley ate, cried for several hours the first 2 days and then seemed fine. I know she was colic but we switched formula and she was fine. now for the past 4 days she has these melt downs, i dont know if its purple crying or even normal. she screams bloody murder as soon as she wakes for a nap until i feed her then had a could melt downs through out the day. it isnt after a feeding like her colic was. its random. and often. she has plenty of awake happy time but shes so un consolable im scared that something is wrong. no fever. pooping fine. not gassy. i dont know if i should call her doctor or if this is normal. according to purple crying websites it is. i feel like im going deaf. shes 11 weeks btw...

my daughter went thought that every evening for a bout a month. she was not colic, nothing was wrong she was just "purple" crying. it's like baby witching hour. Talk to her pedi to make sure nothign is wrong. I can pretty much bet it's nothing and it will go away.

From the way they describe it on the site, yes it is.
Can be 5 hours or more a day, yep, colic.

My daughter's pediatrician told me that he hasn't diagnosed colic in nearly 8 years because 9/10 it's not colic at all, it's acid reflux. The symptoms are pretty similar.. Could she be uncomfortable because of stomach acid rising up her throat? Switching formula can help it stay down and relieve some gasiness and fussiness, but sometimes medication like Zantac is needed to relieve the burning sensation babies sometimes feel. Is it worse at nighttime?
Babies with acid reflux often cry for no reason because they hurt..
Just a thought?
I thought my daughter was colicky and fussy and took her to the pediatrician. Turns out, that's what it was. She was quite the crier for a long, long time.
Again, just a thought?
