Gasping/squealing sound

My daughter is one week old today and she makes some squealing kind of gasping noise every once in awhile. It's not all the time and it doesn't seem like she's having trouble breathing. She eats really well. She's gained 7 oz since leaving the hospital and she is not spitting anything up.

Are those noises normal? FTM so I don't really know much at all. Sometimes it sounds a little congested but I clean out her nose with the bulb they gave me in the hospital and the dr listened to her lungs on monday and said all was good.

As long as the doctor isnt worried, and she isnt turning blue or struggling when she does it its fine. My DD does that when she has water, out of excitement or something lol

Thanks for your reply. She only does it occasionally. But I worry over every little thing.   It's hard. She's only a week old so everything is so new for me and I don't know how they're supposed to be. Nobody in my family has had babies for so long and none of my friends do.

My daughter Is a 1 week old also and has been doin the same   I went to dr and she listen to her lungs and gave her a check up and everything was ok. I think Its just they still can't totaly breath that good by themselves yet.
