Disney World & Kids 2 and under

posted 4th Oct
Has anyone taken their kids 2 and under to Disney World? I know they won't remember it but did they enjoy it? Did you enjoy it with them?

one of my friends has taken her LO there since she was 6 months old...they go every year..shes only 2.5 yrs old and shes been there 3 times! She says she has fun...but me personally....i dont see the point in taking them that young...unless you have other children that will be going (she doesn't)

Yes I take my son every year and he had so much fun when he was 2! And he remembered because he talked about it for weeks. We had so much fun.

We were there a few months ago, and both my LOs (they were 3 1/2 and 1 1/2 at the time) LOVED it! The Magic Kingdom has tons of family-friendly rides that don't have any height requirements, so that was nice. We stayed at one of the resorts there, so we could go back to our room during naptime and then went back to the park until really late. It made a huge difference getting a little rest during the day, because then they weren't too grumpy to enjoy the fireworks and electric parade, etc. You might want to take an umbrella stroller along (or rent one there) in case your LO gets too tired to walk. Ours took turns riding in it, but it was a pain to maneuver around all the parade crowds.

I have a 2.5 year old and I'd just like to say that I wouldn't take him there. I think that my 4 year old is almost borderline too young to fully enjoy it. Unless we took a live in babysitter, or got the trip for free I wouldn't pay to take the kids. They be whiny and hot, not like the lines for rides, and not remember the trip anyway.

I would however take them on a Disney cruise. My family goes and takes their kids anywhere from 1 and up and they do all kinds of activities with them, even watch them for you if you want to go to the pool by yourself, or have dinner alone. They even cut up the kids food at dinner.

I am a born and raised Floridian. I love Disney World and use to go every summer before DH since I was 2. I know they tons of kid friendly rides and such and I can't wait to take my kids. I just didn't want to take them toooo young and they not be able to enjoy it.

Go for it! I bet they'd love it, and you'll love seeing them enjoying it too.

I took my son at 18 months and 2. It was a blast & he remembers it. We're going for our third time the first week in March & we are going all out for this trip.
People have tried to deter us from going b/c they say they won't remember. I don't find that to be true for 1 and for 2 you don't sit at home and do nothing all of the time simply b/c they won't remember. It's all a fun family learning experience, IMO. Oh and it is awsome that they kids get in free until they turn 3.

We live really close to disney, we met some friends who went there with luke when he was 2 and a half. He loved being at the hotel pool, and looking at the different giant toy story characters in the resort. Even though we didn't go to the park, I have a feeling he would LOVE it. I think it all depends on how much money you want to spend to put a smile on your kids face bc that smurf's expensive!!

I am so excited now, I was seriously debating doing this but I really think we deserve it after all the smurf that's happened. And I know it's free for kids under 3 and my best friend who is Navy will be getting our tickets at discount price.

We took our son at 10 months and last month at 22 months. He had a blast last month, he loved running around and playing and climbing on things. When we go next year I think is when he'll really love it and be ready to interact with some of the characters.
