How do you know if your baby is teething?

posted 4th Oct
I think my son is. He trying to chew on my hands, toys, spoons, ANYTHING and he's desperate acting when he does it. Hes also slobbering a lot more and fussy and I had a hard time calming him for bed last night. I felt his gum line and I dont feel anything. He's 4 months.

It's definitely possible. My three month old is slobbering more than usual and chewing on his pacy and bottle. Put some Orajel on his gums and see if that helps when he gets fussy

Check his gums again, are they red/swollen? He sounds like he is teething. My son covers everything in a layer of slobber, and anything within his reach goes into his mouth.

you might not feel anything but babies can teeth for a long time. I would trust your instincts, you know your kid best. If you think he's teething he probably is. A frozen washcloth for him to chew on may help calm him.

Sounds like teething to me. DD starting teething at 3 months and nothing showed up until 8 months. To say the least, we went through a lot of shirts during the day because she was always slobbering. lol

don't jump right to baby orajel, check with the baby's dr first. Start with something without benzocaine in it, like a frozen washcloth or teether toys that go in the fridge.

I asked her doctor and said it was fine when she was teething at that age. I didn't just give her just give her Oragel. I used teether rings, ect as well. This was also five years ago. Plan on asking my LO's doctor as well when the time comes for him to teeth.

He sure is. So Is Cassidy. She is so cranky all the time and puts ANYTHING in her mouth.. so far I let her teeth on washcloths that are rinse well with cool water.. I also have this organic teething gel ( I'll take a picture and show you a little later on) I haven't used it yet but i will soon. I give her a teething ring as well i usual leave it in the fridge for a couple of hours ( 2 hours) but she drops it pretty often.. But while I do diaper changes it distracts her from rolling ; she likes the cool feeling of it.. Swan dear this is where the tough part comes in. You ready? Lol ( cause I'm not!!)

try hylands teething tablets or gel, it works great! I knew my son was teething when he was up all the time at night and usually only woke up once...also chewed on everything! He got his teeth at 4months 1 week. He started teething around 2 months. nobody believed me. Also, if his teeth are about to come in or soon to come in there will be a white line there. His gums will be very sore/red looking
