Anyway, would you move 16+ hours from home to make 900+ a WEEK profit?

Myhusband got a job in DC making 60k a year salary. Plus we will get 600/mo BAH from the military.

No, I hate the dc area and 60k isn't much at all for the area.

I would you need to do what is best for you and your family. Yes you might miss your family but your bettering your family. And it is not like you will never speak or see each other.

For Dc area...no. That wouldn't be much for the area. We are 1 hour south of DC and with the military (BAH included) we make $45,000 and that isn't enough to live. dH had to get a second job and we are barely getting by. Anything closer to DC would even be more expensive

I personally have no desire to even step foot in DC, let alone live there, but I'd be down to move across the country (or the sea) for a great paying job for SO/myself. Home is our little three piece family, doesn't much matter to me where the shelter we live in is located.

I'm really having second doubts about it now.
I mean, yeah it would be 900 extra a week but the cost of living is higher, I would be leaving my entire family, friends, my college. I just don't think is worth it. Plus my husband job down here just put him on fulltime, so we will have more than enough money. Right now we don't even have to pay rent because we live in my parents other house. Meh, Idk if they were offering like 100k a year i'd do cartwheels up there but, 60k doesn't seem good enough for all the trouble

If you are happy here stay   DC is A LOT different then MS and we talked about making friends in another thread...900 bucks a month wouldn't be worth i if you were miserable.

Very true, not to mention just like the general hassle to move. It will take us 5,000 just to move, we have to get all the boys medical stuff changed over, I have to do the whole college registration over and probably will have more pre reqs added to the list, ya know, just all that tedios stuff that is a pain in the ass! Lol
