Stems from another thread kind of, but mostly just from smurf that's happened lately.

I used to think there was something good about everyone. Up until recently where I've just repeatedly been shown some people are completely and utterly smurffy people.

So, am I just a cynical smurf?

i think some people are just bad people, really.

I think that all people are born good. As adults, idk. I want to think that there is still some remaining good in everyone, but idk.

I think everyone has the potential for good. A person can be a complete and utter smurf to EVERYONE except their kid. Or they may do a million horrible things, and ONE kind thing. I think there is some good in everyone, even if people attempt to ignore their own goodness.

I think there is good in everyone. I don't think someone can be 100% evil, though the bad in them is dominate.

I'd like to think there is.
Some people are smurffy smurfs but then with their family are the sweetest things or have a pet youd totally see them melt over. There's always something/someone that comes along and evetually brings out the best in people. There are also bad things that have happened to people that they are constantly bitter and mad about because they haven't healed or let it go and so it shows in their personality and people mistake it for them just being bad people.

I have faith in people lol

I think even sociopaths have good in them.

Just like I don't believe anyone is 100% good.... we all have some bad in us....

There are some evil, evil people in the world, but even they have some good. Heck, Hitler loved his dogs and Stalin loved his wife. Of course Hitler had German Shepherds.

This. Even a lot of really evil killers have had things in their lives that they've really loved and were good to.

Perhaps the potential to do good or "become" good, but no, I don't believe there's a flame of goodness burnin' away inside all of us. I think we're more or less a blank slate from birth - not good, not bad - and throughout our life, make choices and take paths that put us in the light or in the dark or somewhere in between (where I think most tend to fall).

If you believe that some people have no good in them... Do you believe that some people have no bad in them?

Who was 100% good in history (besides Jesus, to any Christians out there)?
