Quoting Flag:" I'm kind of scared to start losing weight. What if I fail? I have issues committing to anything- I'll ... [snip!] ... and I want to look good, not like some piggy! Where do I start? What do I do? I need tips, advice, inspiration, anything!"
I'm 5'2 also (well, a little under, haha). Personally weight watchers has been working for me really well! Also, I just try to increase my movement to start with. I park further away, take the kids on walks, climb more stairs, things like that. I also add in some work out videos when I feel up to it.
I'm still bigger the you are, but I've lost about 20lbs and feel great!
Also, track everything you eat. Part of what this does is stop mindless eating. "Write it if you bite it" is what I'm always told. If I have to write down every bite I take I stop grazing. I stop just mindlessly putting food into my mouth. My only exception are grapes. I keep them out to handle my snacky urge, haha. I track that I ate them, but since they're 0 points I don't calculate how much.
