Best Friend Problems!

I have a friend that got pregnant a few weeks after I did. As time went on, we became best friends. Now, every time i talk to her, the whole time she's talking about how her son is smarter and better than my daughter. My daughter started crawling and pulling herself up so of course i posted it on facebook, so happy! the very next day, she called me to tell me that her son was pulling himself up and standing up by himself. But i went over to her house a few weeks later and he was JUST starting to army crawl.

She called me a couple weeks ago and she heard my daughter screaming bloody murder in the background. she asked what was wrong and i told her that she was getting her top teeth in. She went on this huge rant about how there is no way she could be getting her top teeth because my daughter just got her bottom teeth and according to a dentist she knows, "if they get their bottom teeth late they will get their top teeth late". But my daughters bottom teeth started coming in when she was 7 months. They weren't late, they came in right on time.

I don't understand why she's acting this way, my daughter is a month older than her son, of course my daughter will be doing things sooner than he is. Has anyone else had this problem? Or does anyone know how to handle this situation? I don't want to lose a friend but i cant take it much longer!

I would call her out on it and tell her how it makes you feel and if she doesn't stop after that then I wouldn't speak to her

I don't pay any mind to people who compare baby's progress...each baby grows differently... why don't you just tell her you don't want to hear about it?

This girl I knew said her son was potty trained completely he was around 18 months I just finished potty training my dd who was 14 months. She was telling me this while standing in line woth a case of diapers she was buying for her son, and blabbing on and on about how he no longer weras diapers and even at night when they go out etc....then her hubby comes around the corner and her son was in diapers.

I just ignore people like that...kwimÉ

it's hard. im horrible at confronting people. i just usually change the subject. But yesterday she tried to tell me that my daughter couldnt be allergic to cows milk!! lol its like she wants to just argue with me. i wish she would go back to the person she was when we were pregnant!

That sounds so annoying maybe just avoid her for a while its not worth it

I just feel like she has to 1 up me constantly.. which doesnt even make sense. it would be one thing if they were the same age but her son is a month younger than my daughter.. thats a big difference right now! im going to call her and tell her that my daughter just said the alphabet and sang twinkle, twinkle, little star!

omg! its SOOOOOOO annoying! lol, ive been trying to avoid her this week with the excuse that we've ben moving and my boyfriend hurt his back and has been home this week... but she calls ALL THE TIME!! telling me "alex did this, alex can open his bottle by himself" lol no, its because you didnt tighten it enough.. it just sucks and i really jst want to tell her "you know your kid isnt doing what you say he is"

oh! and she told me that he is big enough to have a front facing car seat at 7 month old... uh.. what?

That reminds me of this girl I use to hang out with.... everytime i'd go to her house she'd show me how smart her daughter was and have her do the ABC's...and smurf...nothing wrong with that its good to be proud of ur daughter but DAMN I know she was doing it because my son couldn't do that yet and always rubbing it in my face how smart her daughter is.... it got really annoying!!! Now I just laugh because her daughters so "smart" she acts like a slut at 6 yrs old just like her mommy   hehehehhehehee

HAH!!! thats funny! thank you for making this into a funny situation. i was really upset about it.. and of course i talk to my boyfriend about it and he just says "dont worry about what she says,, why is it a big deal?"
