ripped jeans

posted 4th Oct
I need to get my son a pair of ripped jeans for a certain occasion. I can't find them anywhere. Has anyone seen any recently?

I have checked online at...
TCP
Old Navy
Target
Gap

And I plan on going to H&M today.

Or...do you know how to rip an old pair of jeans so that it actually looks good?

I saw some at Babies R Us recently, but if you cut them up yourself and then wash and dry a few times the cuts will get that frayed/fringed look.

That's what I need. The "old" and "worn" look. What would you use to cut them? A razor?

Use a razor like you shave your legs with and shave into where you want the rips then wash them a few times. It takes a while but always turn out cute.

I always made my own. Used sissors and sand paper to wear the holes a little more then wash them and dry them a cpl times. Make sure your using the right jean material too.

Do you shave up like your legs? Down like the opposite? Or sideways?

He's about a 4T...in TCP sizes. IDK if they are different elsewhere.

I would just use sand paper. It worked well for me

Thanks everyone! Maybe I'll try sandpaper on a pair that's too small first and if it turns out well I won't need to buy them!

I'm gonna look at 77kids too, thanks for the link.
