how long did it take...

before you started getting contractions once they started pitocin? I'm sitting in the hospital and the nurse just started the drip and I'm wondering what to expect now

It was pretty fast.

Has your water broken? Thats when they got really painful for me!

I was on pitocin for about 10 hours AFTER already getting the cytotec stuff for about 10 hours prior and never had one single contraction.

Lucky i had cyotec and civadil and pit and still did not progress till they broke my wate but the contractions i had were horrad . With my second i just had pti buher labor was way wose then my first but hers was much fast 22 hours compaird to 3 days.

I had pre-e with DD, so they told me they would see how I progressed within 24 hours with the cytotec and pitocin, so since I didn't progress at all within that time...I had a c-section.

They started mine at 9am, My water had all leaked out and pains kicked in about an hour later, and worsened from there, But the whole process from drip in to baby out was 6 hours, So it wasn't to bad.

But OP, I had pitocen with both of mine and neither time hurt until my water broke, then it got intense..

Mine took 5 hours
