Tubes Tied and Hair Loss?

posted 4th Oct
My wife had our daughter in late May and had her tubes tied during the C-section. Lately I've been seeing big clumps of her hair in the shower drain. I've also noticed her hair on pillows, shirts, etc. more often than I used to.

Has anyone else had hair loss after getting their tubes tied? She's 39 so I guess pre-menopause is a possibility, too.

I don't remember it being this severe after she had our son...actually, I don't remember even noticing.

I lost hair like whoa after I had my Son and it's also during my pregnancy this time too. I have to use the hair stopper thing in the bathtub or else our drains suffer. There are also randoms laying around everywhere too.. But all in all, D is still pretty little so I'd say this is hormonal. I don't think she would be menopausal yet.

It can also depend on how she is styling her hair too. When I use products (such as beach wave spray) my hair will fall out more than straightening.

Thanks everyone, I know it's something that bothers her and somehow I think she feels like it changes how I feel about her.

I mean, is the hair loss noticeable on her head?

No, it's been more about noticing it laying on surfaces, etc.

Then I'm confused   My Husband just digs it out of the drain and moves on and I never think anything about it.

It just seemed like much more than usual and that the frequency increased after Daphne was born.

Each pregnancy is different. One symptom of pregnancy can be accelerated hair growth. And once baby is born and hormones level out, a lot of people lose that excess hair. That's what this sounds like to me.
