For men to think about other women whilst they have sex with you even though they love you and find you attractive?

I don't know if it's common, but possible since thoughts are uncontrollable. At the very least I'd deem it normal.

At the start of my pregnancy (the bit where you really don't want to have sex or touch anyone) I found out that my SO was thinking about other women's 'bodies' to help get him off. It killed me to learn this and he felt like a dick for doing it - I get it though but it must have been like smurfing a brick wall with me and he just wanted to pleasure me. He certainly won't be doing it again - I do ask him quite a lot and I believe he respects me too much to do it again after owning up to it.

Because men are very visual - I don't think that men who love someone think about other woman to hurt you they just do it because they can and it helps them get off.
