sippy cup questions

Ds is 15 days from being 9 months and His 2 first teeth came in about 2 and a half weeks ago. Ive slowly been intoducing different sippy cups. He doesnt like the hard nipple one, hes chews them but I tried a cheap silicone one (Nuby) and he did okay with it but it seems like it leaks. I just bought an seseme street cup since he loves elmo. He did great with that one.

Whats your favorite sippy cup?

How old was your LO when they were off bottles?

When trying a sippy cup did you try anything special (ex: started trading bottles for sippies or just made them go sippy cold turkey)?

Do you know any sippies that have a top to them?

DS like silicone nipples so far so I wanna kinda stick to them.

I think my ds had one of every kind lol. Then he would just use the one he liked. He didn't seem to extremely favor any particular one tho

When did you introduce him to a sippy cup

my two year old went through phases she started on the playtex ones with the handles. then


now at almost 3 she gets a regular cup at home and when we are out or in the car:


My youngest is 8 months and this is what she just started taking

I would say I first gave him one to play with at like 7 to 9 months with water in it, or in the bathtub where he couldn't spill it lol. He still drank milk out of a bottle in the morning and evenings until about 2 years old but would drink everything else out of the sippy cup. But my son also hated milk and still does and could only get him to drink it out off the bottle at that age. I introduced.juice to him in a sippy cup he had never had juice or water before I introduced the sippy cup. I don't know if that made a difference.

I tried the hard nipple ones and he doesnt like them. I had an avent sippy cup and he didnt like that one either. The one in the middle is the one he adores but it was 8 bucks =/

When i was looking up sippy cups, I read on alot of websites to introduce juice and water in a sippy cup. He has had juice a few times but he only gets pedialyte now (he was sick with HFMD last week).

Did she start off with silicone nipples then moved to the hard ones or was it different. and what kinda cup is that at the bottom. I would like one with a top.....i kinda dont like germs lol

Its the nuk training cup. I love it.

Awww poor guy, I would just keep offering it to him he will.pick it up, but id personally stick with one he prefers and once he's drinking good out of that one then start to introduce the hard top ones. My Nephew preferred silicone too, he hated the hard ones and he would chew the heck out of them

We started out with Nuk sippy cups when the boys first started, then we went onto the Nuby straw sippy cups... Now they drink out of regular cups that have lids & straws. They're 15 months old, and we started them on sippy cups at 6 months. Just took the bottles & put them all up one day and handed them a sippy cup. Never looked back.

I might have to try that. He drinks out of that seseme street cup alot.
