Quoting Squeaky McGee:" Probably not. Cranberry juice will do nothing for a yeast infection. Eat yogurt. Plain yogurt."

Too much yogurt can actually aggravate/cause a yeast infection. I don't remember exactly why, but I had bacterial vaginosis for the second time (the first time was because of my surgery, this time my doctor thinks it's because of my uterus problems and thinks I got an infection in my body, like a cold, and since my immune system is so low and thrown off right now I developed BV again). It's similar to a yeast infection. Well I said "Ive been having lots of yogurt, I thought that would help keep it away" and he said actually too much yogurt can aggravate it or cause a yeast infection. You need a healthy amount... nothing too much much or it can have an adverse effect.

I've never heard of yogurt causing a yeast infection. The active cultures help to balance out the normal flora. With that being said, if yogurt were to cause a yeast infection, you'd have to eat like a gallon of it.

I agree eat yogurt. Greek is the best because it has the most live cultures. You can also get probiotics from the health food store and use them both orally and you can stick a capsule up there too. Also cut back on sugar completely. It's what yeast feeds on.

I never heard of it either until I went to the doctor. It's been hard to get me to eat but I love my yogurt. My doc mentioned my weight loss and I said "Well I eat, but it's probably not the best diet. I eat a ton of yogurt and protein shakes." And that's when he told me that too much yogurt can have an adverse effect.
