Because your lips are going to get extremely dry! Hospitals are dry enough as it is but it'll be worse if you can't drink anything (which you most likely won't be able to). My lips were so cracked they were bleeding. I didn't get any chapstick until after I was induced, I wish I would have had the whole time I was in the hospital.

just an FYI i forgot to put in, I'm gonna be 40 weeks and 3 days when i get induced. just thought u should include that.

i do believe they are just lighter sweat pants that dont have the elastic around the waist and legs so they are easier for some1 to ware them if they had a c-section or something. but im not for sure, it's just my guess.

you aren't her dr. to make that call. If you tell her not to get induced and her baby dies or there are complications, She can come back and sue you. with this post. You don't carry a PHD in obstetrics!

Do NOT listen to any of these women. they are not your dr. and do NOT know what is best for YOU!

You do need to pack the basics. clothes for the baby, clothes for you that you don't mind bleeding on.
It doesn't make it more complicated.

It depends on how you are being induced, but with Pitocin, you can walk around if you want. At least until you get an epidural.

I LOVED my induction. I'm due May 17th and Plan on being induced the week of my due date or the week before.
