Weird thing growing out of my arm

So I was running my hand across my arm and there was a sharp feeling thing poking out kinda like a splinter. I scratched at it until it was out enough to pull out. When I pulled it out it looked just like a nail clipping from a baby. It was so weird. It felt like hell pulling it out too... Does anyone know what could it have been and how did it get there? I could swear it was just like a fingernail clipping from a little baby, and it definitely came OUT of my body. It's not like I got poked with anything, the deeper part was wider than the part that was sticking out and there was no real irritation from it until I started messing with it.

A skin tag maybe?

I don't know it was really weird. It was hard and sharp. At first I thought it might be glass... It was long too. No blood or anything came out totally clean.

Maybe it was a whitehead...that is the only thing I can think of that can get hard...

Interesting but no. It seriously looks exactly like the thin nail clippings from a newborn flexible but sharp see through and flat. Totally freaked me out.

I've found descriptions just like yours.. it's a Keratin horn.. I don't see anything on them being harmful.. just weird.

I wonder if that's what I had starting. This was much smaller than anything like what I googled. But it's crazy cause it says that exposure to radiation can cause them and I just had a abdominal scan like a month and a half ago.
