logan HAAATES being swaddled, he never liked it. idk why lol this kid loves to sleep with no blankets, socks, pants or anything. I think he'd sleep naked if he had the option
It is a constant fear, I went through it myself. My son had the Wedge that he slept in for the first 7 months and he should have been out of it before he was but I was too paranoid. Once I took it away he was fine. It keeps them on their side to prevent swallowing or aspirating if they spit up during the night. My daughter on the other hand didn't have one and she slept in a bassinette for the first three months where my son started out in the crib from day one. My daughter would NOT sleep on her back or sides, she had to be on her tummy and as hard as it was after the first month, I had to just let it be and she has been a tummy sleeper ever since and at two months started sleeping through the night from 930 till 830 am totally on her own. She still does the same at 6 months. I was also told by my Dr that once they can roll on their own, then they are pretty well good enough to just sleep. They will find their happy place and they are able to realize something is wrong if they are face down. It's very nerve wracking and the Angel Monitors can help (they are little pads that go under the sheet and monitor breathing movement. If it goes off then baby is not breathing (or simply moved away from the monitor)
